Why I’m Starting a Blog

So, I finally did it. I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now, but I just didn’t make the time to do it. It was one of those things that was on the bucket list but never got done. Until now.

I’ll be honest: one of the primary reasons I’m starting this blog is to build my online presence. But I also realize that I have benefited extraordinarily ¬†from the information available online, and I think it’s time for me to start contributing back to this gigantic repository of knowledge and opinions. I truly hope that my experiences will be helpful to someone else down the road.

Another reason I’ve decided to start blogging is that it’s a means to document things that I’m working on. This year I’m making a serious effort to work towards bringing my dreams for the future to life. I’m setting goals for myself to that effect and starting to work on projects that I’ve wanted to do but didn’t make time for. This blog is where I’m going to document those efforts.

To give you an idea of what kinds of topics to expect in the near future, I recently finished an RFduino+iPhone app project that I plan to blog about, and I have a robotics project in the queue coming up, which will most likely take multiple blog posts to cover. So keep an eye out for some cool stuff ;-)
